One fundamental requirement for quality education is a qualified and motivated teacher. Agahi has created and staffed its own Teacher Training Center (TTC). It provides us with qualified teachers whom we know and can employ with confidence. The TTC course emphasises both knowledge of content as well as learning processes. We encourage teachers to use activity-based approaches and to minimise passive methods, such as, memorization by rote.

from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Canadian Bureau of Education (CBIE), and the Institute of Educational Development, Karachi (IED). In 2000, Dr. Sultana opened a commercial school in Mansehra that donates its surplus to Agahi teacher training and Agahi schools. Support for school construction also came from Mr. Kahlid Usman, his group of Toronto supporters and from Developments in Literacy (DIL) a US-based foundation for education.
