MISSION
To support high quality, community managed schools in Mansehra Valley that enable both girls and boys to become knowledgeable and creative citizens and who will lead the future development of the valley.
VISION
A network of community managed schools, a teacher training centre and trained teachers providing high quality, affordable education based on learning-by-doing in a happy and stimulating environment. We hope to have 12 schools by 2015.
GOVERNANCE
Agahi has a Board of Trustees in Pakistan that is responsible for setting policy and providing direction and support. It includes five members committed to the Agahi’s objectives, transparency and fund-raising.
The members are:
- Dr. Farhat Sultana, Anthropologist (President)
- Bashir Ahmed, ex-Chairman, Bank of Khyber, NWFP
- Javaid Hasan, Financial Management Consultant
- Muhammad Tariq, CEO, Sabawan, an NGO of Peshawar
- Mahmooda Ayoub, Chairperson of a local education NGO
- Ghazala Usmani, Principal of Pakistan Grammar High School, Abbottabad
Agahi Pakistan associates with Agahi Canada, a Canadian registered charity that has its own Board of Directors that raises funds for Agahi.
Members are:

- Alan Etherington
- Dr. Syed Sattar
- Richard Shillington
- Margaret McGarry
The Chairpersons of each Board are non-voting members of the other Board.
